State of Science Index” to badanie postaw społecznych wobec nauki i technologii realizowane przez firmę 3M na reprezentatywnej grupie osób (N=1000 respondentów w każdym kraju, 18+) w 17 krajach. Badanie przeprowadzane jest metodą CATI. Kraje objęte badaniem to Brazylia, Kanada, Chiny, Niemcy, Indie, Japonia, Meksyk, Polska, Singapur, Korea Południowa, Hiszpania, Francja, Wielka Brytania i USA oraz Emiraty Arabskie, Kolumbia, Australia i Włochy, które dołączyły do przedsięwzięcia w tej edycji (luty-marzec 2021). W 2021 roku badanie zostało zrealizowane po raz piąty. Ankieta badawcza dotyczy 4 zidentyfikowanych przez 3M kluczowych obszarów prezentujących postawy społeczne wobec nauki i technologii, tj. zaufanie do nauki (1), kapitał społeczny w dziedzinie nauk ścisłych, przyrodniczych i inżynieryjno-technicznych (2), zrównoważony rozwój (3) oraz wspólna odpowiedzialność (4) .
